“Cris-Tim is a company with a history of over 30 years. We are the market leader in several businesses in Romania: number one in meat processing, number one in ready meal, we have one of the largest and most modern farms in Europe, with 2,400 dairy cows.

We have over 3,000 employees and this year we estimate a turnover of 240 million euros. How do we make the difference? Consciousness and responsibility towards consumers and towards the environment,” Radu Timis, founder and owner of Cris-Tim group said during a conference organized by Green News in partnership with the Circular Economy Coalition.

“In the last 3 years – although they were difficult years – we managed to increase both turnover and profit. A key element of our success is the quality of the products we sell. We do not replace meat; we sell real meat. Our products have a clean label.

7 years ago, we made the decision to produce the energy we need ourselves. We have a biomass station, two biogas stations, we have 5 MW of photovoltaic panels.

We no longer use chemicals at all, our products are almost organic. We use compost in agriculture and have some extraordinary harvests.

Profit increases because we respect all parameters and offer quality products to customers. If we want to survive and have a sustainable business, we must take more care of the environment.”
