Indicathor ESG, the AI solution that automates sustainability reports for companies, has been officially verified by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), becoming the first platform in Romania to join the ranks of early adopters in Eastern Europe that meet the highest international sustainability reporting standards.
”After thoroughly testing and verifying the authentic representation of the GRI Standards in its tool functionalities, GRI is pleased to announce that Indicathor ESG is now an official Licensed Software & Tools Partner. This marks an important step for automated sustainability reporting in Romania and will help companies to better manage data, simplify the fulfilment of regulatory requirements, and build trust with local and international stakeholders”, said Alex Chiodo, Manager of the GRI Licensing Software & Tools Program.
GRI is one of the most prestigious international organizations that sets corporate reporting standards for companies regarding sustainable development.
The GRI verification attests that the Indicathor ESG platform complies with the rigorous standards set by GRI for the collection and reporting of sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) data. This provides user companies with the assurance that the generated reports meet global transparency and accountability requirements.
”The certification obtained provides multiple advantages to Indicathor ESG clients, including the confidence that the platform is validated by a recognized international standardization body. Additionally, it confirms that Indicathor ESG is a robust technological partner capable of supporting companies in aligning with the GRI Standards, thus facilitating compliance with increasingly stringent European sustainability regulations”, said Sandu Băbășan, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Indicathor ESG, noting that the product development will continue according to the established direction. ”The verification provides us with important validation and increases confidence in our path. We will apply the same process to obtain certification according to ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) standards, ensuring compliance with CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) requirements”.
The GRI verification process took approximately four months and involved a detailed analysis of the Indicathor ESG platform, as well as the implementation of received feedback. This stage demonstrated the technological capability of the platform to meet the stringent sustainability standards.
Since its launch in April 2024, Indicathor ESG has constantly evolved, integrating new and complex modules that use artificial intelligence to automate the collection of sustainability data. The platform is continually developing, with plans to expand its functionalities by the end of next year. At the same time, the Indicathor ESG team has grown, adding ESG experts, technical specialists, and sales professionals to meet the increasing market needs.
Indicathor ESG targets ESG consulting firms, sustainability report and strategy experts, as well as companies looking to develop their own strategy in this field. By leveraging high-speed data collection and using artificial intelligence to validate and generate reports, the platform offers accuracy, traceability, and predictability, ensuring measurable quality of reported sustainability actions.
By the end of the year, the platform developers aim to establish a partnership with at least one major market player, prepare the technology for internationalization, and contract the first dozens of companies in need of Indicathor ESG.
The Indicathor ESG platform represents the latest technology project of serial entrepreneurs and investors Sandu and Sergiu Băbășan and an important step on their part towards offering integrated and reliable solutions for a sustainable future.
