BCR, through its Social Banking department, grants financing in the form of a working capital loan, worth 5 million RON, to the non-governmental organization Help Autism, one of the most important providers of specialized services for children with autism in Romania. The financing will be used to cover the costs related to the current activity and support the development strategy of the association for this year.

“We are happy to support Help Autism in their mission to provide quality therapy, as well as personalized and accessible services to people with autism. All this care and concern means, further, better social integration, but also emotional well-being for children with autism and their families. I thank the teams involved in structuring this financing, which helps us take another step in developing a solid social infrastructure in Romania. In fact, this is also our objective, at BCR, to create a positive impact in the community and contribute to increasing financial and social inclusion”, said Ștefan Buciuc, CEO BCR Social Finance, Head of Social Banking BCR.

“Obtaining the working capital loan from BCR represents a historic moment for Help Autism and for the NGO sector in Romania. It is proof of the confidence that BCR has in our mission to support children with autism and their families, but also a validation of the positive impact we have in the community.

Access to such a financial instrument allows us to intervene promptly when delays in external financing or other unforeseen difficulties occur, so that we can maintain the quality of therapy services and the support offered to our beneficiaries. We thank the BCR Social Banking team for their support and appreciate their openness to understanding the particularities of our sector, which has always been avoided by financial institutions. We look forward to a long-term partnership that will give us the opportunity to develop new impactful programs together, which will make a real difference in the lives of those we support”, said Daniela Bololoi, President of Help Autism.

The Help Autism Association is the largest organization dedicated to the cause of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in Romania. Since its establishment in 2010, it has supported over 3,300 children and young people diagnosed with autism, in several assessment and therapy centers, currently operating six centers – five dedicated to early intervention and one for adolescents. Help Autism constantly seeks to offer a spectrum of personalized solutions for children with autism and their families, from specific therapy to school and social integration programs, to support for parents, awareness campaigns and advocacy.
