Nestlé, through its Infant Nutrition division, launches the Little Steps® 3 milk range for children in cardboard packaging designed for recycling and with a spoon dispenser from at least 95 percent cane plastic.

The new packaging is both environmentally friendly and easy to use for parents, with all the information on use, nutritional data and ingredients. Packaging and dosing spoons can be selectively collected for recycling in special containers dedicated to paper and plastic, a release shows.

“As promised earlier this year, we have started an ambitious process of transforming our portfolio into a sustainable one, introducing the new recyclable cardboard packaging for the Nestlé LITTLE STEPS® range. The recipe of the product has not changed and we want to continue to come to the aid of mothers. We believe that breastfeeding is the ideal start in terms of baby nutrition and we fully support the Recommendation of the World Health Organization regarding exclusive breastfeeding in the first 6 months of life. At the same time, regardless of the parents’ choice regarding baby feeding, Nestlé Baby & me is here to share the latest information and to provide them with the necessary support and confidence, ensuring that the little ones have a balanced nutrition,” says Mihaela Busu, Business Executive Officer Nestlé Infant Nutrition.
