    Romanians demonstrated their generosity once again, getting involved in the distribution of the 800,000 kWh of energy donated by E.ON Energie Romania within the “Give Light” campaign, held from April 26 to May 7. The beneficiaries are several hundred children and young people with special needs cared for in four social institutions.

    Impressed by their stories, Romanians, users of social media platforms, were able to decide to whom the amount donated by E.ON Energie Romania should go, each appreciation or redistribution of a story bringing 100 kWh of energy to the chosen institution.

    Beneficiaries of the campaign:

    • Cisnădie Children’s Villages: 139,048 kWh;

    • School Center for Inclusive Education “Primăvara” Resita: 185,783 kWh;

    • Special Secondary School “Maria Montessori” Bacău: 219,511 kWh;

    • SAMUS Cluj-Napoca Special Professional School: 255,658 kWh.

    The counter value of the amounts of energy received by the beneficiaries is to be deducted from their electricity or natural gas bills.

    Starting from 2015 and up to now, E.ON has offered more than 4,050,000 kWh of energy to 79 institutions and 3,300 needy families through the “Give Light” campaign.

    Since entering the energy market in Romania, E.ON has supported with over 20 million euros numerous social responsibility projects in the communities in which it operates, the total number of beneficiaries of these initiatives being approximately 600,000.
