The GRF+ agency and the ECOTECA Association announce the start of the autumn season of the second edition of the Academy of Environmental Journalism, Reporting: Climate. The program aims to provide journalists and content creators with the necessary tools to professionally and comprehensively address environmental and sustainability topics. The Academy is intended for all journalists from the local and national press in Romania, as well as content creators.
This fall, the program returns with an improved format, new topics and current insights from experts, emphasizing their recognized quality and expertise. Speakers are knowledgeable in water and wastewater resource management, freshwater protection in international organizations, and management of major water infrastructure projects. The following topics covered will be:
• Water management
o Offline, in Bucharest – September 19 – Sustainable management of water resources and its impact on society
o Online – September 25 – Techniques and technologies for saving and recycling water
• Energy efficiency
o Offline, in Bucharest – October 24 – Energy efficiency in buildings and urban infrastructure
o Online – October 30 – Innovative technologies for energy efficiency: case studies and good practices
• Circular economy
o Offline, in Bucharest – November 14 – The principles of the circular economy and their application in industry and society
o Online – November 19 – Implementing the circular economy: practical solutions and case studies
“Responsible communication in the field of the climate crisis should already be in the job description of any communicator – from the inflation of environmental messages sometimes, we now have the duty to develop constructive actions, which can increase mobilization in a concrete way, declares Irina Ciocan-Stănescu , CEO of GRF+. “The Reporting: Climate program is a collaborative solution for strengthening a community of journalists and content creators prepared to address environmental issues in a professional, informed and responsible way.”

By collaborating with experts and practitioners, we provide journalists with the necessary tools to explore these themes in depth, understand their challenges and the role of various institutions, to become true ambassadors of change.”
