PENNY Romania supports School of Health, the Wello Association program that promotes health education among students, teachers and families, with the objective of creating long-term healthy habits.
Through the School of Health program, students in Romania have access to modern, interactive and well-documented resources that help them understand the importance of healthy eating, physical activity and balanced emotional health. With the support of PENNY Romania, the program expands its impact through technological innovation and dedicated educational materials.
School of Health – main achievements:
● 150 partner schools across the country;
● Approximately 4,000 students participating in direct workshops;
● 100 teachers who have access to specialized content and implement it in schools;
● Over 1,000 students involved in activities promoting health education.
The program is physically implemented in the counties of Cluj, Alba, Bistrița-Năsăud and Suceava, where a dedicated team of 3 licensed nutritionists and dietitians and 15 volunteer students from UMF Cluj actively contribute, delivering educational content directly to schools. At the same time, by the end of 2024, the program will be physically expanded to 6 other counties. In the online environment, School of Health operates in 15 counties.
Currently, the School of Health team is working on a mobile application that will include food scanning functions, as well as healthy recipe recommendations. The first version of the application is planned for January 2025, marking an important step in educating the younger generations and their families.
