The “Energy Station” community on the eon.ro website is approaching half a million users, in just two years since the launch of this educational platform whose purpose is to familiarize electricity and gas consumers with the universe of energy, so that they can orient themselves correctly and make the best decisions, in accordance with their needs.
Last year, the number of users reached almost 277,000, an increase of 44% compared to the previous year, the total number of users from the moment of the platform’s launch until the end of 2024 being over 462,000.
The online platform features topics related to consumption, prices, energy and solutions for energy efficiency, through a series of articles written by opinion leaders or specialists in various fields who addressed sustainability and energy efficiency in a simple and accessible language.
In a top 10 of the most read articles in 2024, the first position is the payment of the gas bill in kWh, although the meter measures consumption in cubic meters, followed by the failure to pay the gas bill on time and the costs of heating with a heat pump. In the fourth position of the topics of interest we find information about the meter index, and in the fifth position energy cards. The subject of heat pumps returns to the top in various forms and in positions six (what they are and how they help you save money) and ten (how much they cost and whether they are worth the purchase). Subsidies through the Green House, air conditioning cleaning and photovoltaic panels necessary for a house are three other topics in the top 10.
In July of last year, E.ON Talks was launched, a podcast in which experts from the company E.ON Energie România answer questions from consumers. The most watched episode, out of the six made so far, is the one dedicated to thermal power plants.
