The “Give Light” campaign, carried out with the support of E.ON Energie România between March 31 and April 21, 2025, ended with 1 million kWh of energy donated to four educational institutions that support, day after day, students with special educational needs.
Thanks to those who interacted online with the posts about the beneficiaries of this edition, on the “Give Light” page, either through likes, comments, shares or dedicated posts, the energy was distributed as follows:
• Special Technological High School for the Hearing Impaired, Cluj-Napoca – 296,592 kWh (29.66%);
• School Center for Inclusive Education “Constantin Păunescu”, Recaș – 279,436 kWh (27.94%);
• Special Secondary School “Constantin Păunescu”, Iași – 223,854 kWh (22.39%);
• School Center for Inclusive Education, Turnu Roșu – 200,118 kWh (20.01%).
This campaign brought together people from all over the country, and each interaction on social networks, whether it was a like, a share or a comment, contributed 100 kWh of energy to the chosen institution. Moreover, those who dedicated themselves in advance and became ambassadors of the campaign, through special posts on social networks, generated 250 kWh of energy for the appreciated institution.
These institutions provide education and therapeutic support to children with various types of disabilities, with the mission of integrating them into society, preparing them for a dignified and equitable future. As a result of the donated energy, the school centers will reduce their energy bill expenses, and the money saved can be directed towards special learning and development programs, therapy sessions or other needs of the children.
Since the first edition, in 2015, and until now, through the “Give Light” campaign, over 7,850,000 kWh have been donated, E.ON Energie România supporting, in this way, schools, hospitals and social centers in several communities in the country. This new Easter edition has demonstrated once again that solidarity has no limits, and community involvement can bring light to the lives of those in need of support.
